We have been contacted by BlendJet to inform us about a potential safety issue with certain BlendJet 2 portable blenders. As a result, BlendJet has initiated a voluntary recall of affected products.
Defect: Blenders with serial numbers beginning with 5201 to 5542 are affected by the hazard. These products were sold in New Zealand throughout 2022 and 2023.
How to check if your product is affected
Consumers can identify whether they have a recalled unit by entering the serial number of their unit into the “Is my BlendJet 2 Recalled?” tool located at https://blendjet.com/safetyandrecall, or by calling BlendJet at (+1) 844-334-0562.
Hazard: The recalled blenders can overheat or catch fire and the blades tips can break off, potentially causing injuries.
What to do: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled blenders and contact BlendJet for a free replacement of the BlendJet 2 base unit. Customers who purchased an affected blender from JB Hi-Fi and are not happy with the replacement option proposed by BlendJet can speak with JB Hi-Fi about alternative solutions.
