Here’s a list of all our different types of stock availability for products listed on our site and what they mean.
In stock
We have high stock levels for the item across New Zealand in our stores and warehouses. Sometimes our stock levels for products available in-store or online vary as per the following:
- In stock in-store: We have high stock levels across our store network but is not currently available for purchase online.
- In stock online: We have high stock levels for purchase through our website, but are not currently selling this item in-store.
Limited stock
There is low or uneven stock levels for the item across Australia in our stores and online warehouses.
- Limited stock in-store: We have low or uneven stock levels across our store network but the product is not available to purchase online.
- Limited stock online: We have low or uneven stock levels for purchase online and are not currently selling the item in-store.
Awaiting stock
The item is not available for immediate delivery, but new stock is on the way from our supplier. The estimated delivery date shown in our checkout incorporates the supplier lead time.
Back order available
The item needs to be ordered in from our supplier before it can be fulfilled. If we have an estimated delivery date for these types of item’s, you’ll see it on the product page and when checking out otherwise we’ll contact you after purchase to let you know when it will be delivered.
Occasionally some suppliers are not able to supply within the time indicated, which can create a further delay. If this happens, we will contact you as soon as possible. You will be offered the opportunity to cancel your order at that time, otherwise, your order will be dispatched as soon as the items are available.
Pre-order online
These products are available for pre-order purchase ahead of their confirmed release date online only. These items will not be fulfilled until their official release date. More information on pre-order products
Coming soon
The 'Coming soon' status denotes a product that we expect to sell in the future but not got a public release date yet. In some cases, you'll be able to register your interest in these products to receive an email alert when a release date is confirmed.
Digital delivery
The product will be sent to you electronically by email after purchase, we’ll send instructions in your order confirmation of how to activate and install your product if required. More information on Digital delivery
Temporarily unavailable
The 'Temporarily unavailable' status is used when we are unable to sell a particular item for an unexpected reason. We may also occasionally use this status when a product that is in very high demand is out of stock and our supplier is unable to confirm timings on future stock availability.
No longer available
When we have stopped selling a product we mark it as 'No longer available. This means we will not be restocking this product. We will often suggest a similar or updated alternative option when one is available.
How to check stock availability
1. Go to the product page of the item you're looking for
2. Select 'Check your Store' button and enter a Postcode or Suburb to view the stock availability and delivery options for the product.
Looking to purchase in-store? Not everything available online is in stock at every store, but stores can order products for you if you'd prefer to buy in person. Use our store finder to contact your local JB.
A heads up on 'online only' products
Sometimes we offer exclusive items that will ship directly from the supplier and will not be available
in stores. We also stock a selected range of Factory Scoop and Online only titles that will ship from our Auckland warehouse and are not available for purchase in-store. You’ll see this specified on the product pages above the price.
